Here we go!!! Day one Wordcount!

All right, ladies and gentlemen. The new round starts today!

Who made 750 words?

(Not me, I can tell you. I haven't started yet.)

Comments

Not on the novel, but on a short story...1614 words
That's an impressive w-count. :)
824 in much-needed structural and thematic notes. I'm also trying to finish up the novella I was engaged in at the end of 2012, so this count will improve before midnight, I think.
750? - check. Good for you!
I'll be starting after the family New Year's dinner.... which we'll be having at 1pm because the family dogs are having a playdate and they get really cranky if left together for too long. Stay tuned...
You better!
825 words written. That's one day down and 89 more to go.
Oh-oh-oh! New round? On Jan 1st???
I guess I'm gonna have to catch up... tomorrow...
I haven't done this in a couple of years, but I've decided that this book needs finishing before summer. I'm out of practice, and may require regular mocking. Off to write today's remaining 300 words...
813!
Nothing yet - but I'm looking at writing a rec fic later - so maybe before bed :>
1084 words today. Should have been more but people kept acting as though I should be paying attention to them rather than the imaginary people inside my head. My 'hero' is discovering that being dead is a tough road to follow, especially when you are - actually - still very much alive.
827 words! Which I finally achieved, after weeks without, by putting in a bracketed summary of what's happening during the scene I can't stand to write yet.
5444 words.
WHAT???? Did you even stop to eat today???
I did, but in fairness it was reheating frozen stew ...!
752 on a single scene in the current WIP and I'll take it!

That brings the WC to 44,100.

Love the character, love the voice, still figuring out the plot points.
Have the flu right now so I've had to delay my start for a day or two until I get better. Not worried about it because I can get caught up over the weekend if need be.
I'm at 480 now - hoping to make up the rest tonight.
860!
And for me

Project number one: 957 words
Project number two: 810 words
Nice!
If I can trust my program (am using Scrivener for the first time and I wish there was an easier way to keep track of word counts), 1718 words in background, to-do's, and character sketches

1084 words today. My protagonist is discovering that being officially dead isn't easy when you are, actually, very much alive.
Sorry! Need to get a wordcount entry up for today!
